How Do I Bundle a Digital Album With a Physical Product?

Bundling made simple

When creating a digital release using the Single Music dashboard, you’ll be prompted with three options to publish:


To bundle your newly created digital release with a physical product, simply select “Attach to Existing Products." Just be sure to follow Nielsen’s updated rules when creating and selling your bundles!

Note: Are you not seeing these buttons? It's likely because you haven't approved billing from Single. Check out our dedicated support article to learn more.


But I’ve already created my digital release…

No problem!
Just click on the release, scroll to the bottom and select "Attaching to Existing Product."


The Attachment Queue

On the next page there is a search bar to find products in your Shopify store. Search for and click on a product to add it to the queue.



Attachment & Reporting Type

Screen_Shot_2021-09-15_at_3.50.42_PM.png The Attachment & Reporting Type should be the format of the product you are selecting. In the example above, we have selected a CD and subsequently selected "CD" as the Attachment Type and "Physical" for the reporting type.

Note: If you are attaching to Vinyl, Tapes, or CD's you must select "Physical" as the reporting type. Each Chart has its own unique rules.

Managed Fulfillment

This toggle should ONLY be on if the product is a digital album. Because there is no physical product component, this tells our system to mark the Shopify order as fulfilled when Single delivers the digital album. For more info on Managed Fulfillment, check out our dedicated support article HERE.


Deliver To Existing Orders

Single has the ability to associate past Shopify purchases with a digital album. If orders occurred before you installed Single - no problem. You can toggle this on and the digital album will be delivered to all past purchasers of that product.

Finally, click "Create Attachments."



Congratulations, you’ve created a bundle!

You’ll now see new sections on your View Release page detailing your sales and reporting counts!


You can view these analytics at any time by clicking on the release on your “Manage Digital Releases” page.

Note: If you create a physical variant of a digital album product, you MUST change the shipping location to either Shopify or your fulfillment center within your Shopify Admin. This is covered in some detail in this support article.
