My Audio Player Isn’t Working!

Is your album still on pre-sale?

Previews are not available on tracks with a release date in the future. You can still select to display the tracklist by choosing "Publish with Audio Player." The play buttons will appear on the album's (or instant grat track's) release date.

Whether or not unreleased track titles display in the tracklist for an album depends on if you have enabled the "Confidential Release" option. If you enable this, any unreleased track titles won't be shown in the tracklist. Instead, they are only shown as generic "Track 3, 5, etc." based on their order in the album.

❗️"Confidential Release" only affects whether or not the as-of-yet unreleased tracks will have their titles displayed in the tracklist or not. Regardless of whether or not "Confidential Release" is enabled, audio previews will NOT be available for unreleased tracks. Once the track is released, the audio preview will be made available if you have used the "Publish with Audio Player" option and selected for 30s previews to be available.❗️


Have you switched themes since you installed the Single App?

When Single is first installed, we add some theme assets into the theme you’re using. If you switch themes, it’s possible these didn’t transfer.

Easy fix. Log into your Single Dashboard. Go to the Settings tab, then select the "Advanced" section. Click on the button that says “Reinstall Shopify Assets."


Refresh your Shopify store and your player should be there!


Have you deleted any items inside your Shopify Admin?

As we explain in this article, when your music is published from Single to Shopify, several different products are created. This includes a “Digital Album” and "Digital Track" products for each track. While these aren’t visible to your customers, these “Digital Track” products power the audio player.

The example below is what the “Digital Album” and “Digital Track” products look like in your Shop Admin when added to your Shopify store.


If you’ve already deleted the digital track products from your store, no problem. Please follow these instructions.
