Creating a digital release in Single is easy. Even still, we’ll walk you through the process. It all starts in the Single Dashboard.
Important things you'll need to get started...
* High-res Album Artwork (1400 x 1400)
* Lossless Audio (WAV, AIFF, or FLAC)
* Release UPC
* Track ISRCs
Select “Create Digital Release” via the Welcome page or sidebar to begin. You’ll be prompted to enter information about your release. This is the “metadata” for your album, so be sure the info you enter is correct - it cannot be changed!
Enter album information
After you enter your album information, hit continue to move to the track upload page.
Track Info & Upload
To use our bulk uploader, simply drag the folder with your song files in the "drag and drop" box.
Our system will do the best it can naming your tracks from the file names. If a track name isn't quite right, click on it to enter the track info page.
Some (but not all) information on this page is required. Learn why ISRC and UPC are required in this support article.
This page is where we give you the freedom to choose whether your tracks are offered individually or exclusively as part of the album. You can also choose individual track release dates to schedule ahead of the full album release.
Finally, for information on how digital music is displayed in your Shopify store, take a look at this support article.
Once you’ve entered the required information, click “Review for Sale”. This next page will be your last chance to make any changes to your digital release.
Once you’ve verified that all of your information is correct, you will have the option to “Create Standalone Digital (with or without a tracklist)” or “Attach to Existing Products”. Creating a standalone album will create products within your Shopify inventory. Attaching to existing products works behind the scenes to deliver the digital album to those who purchase your Shopify product. When you choose this option, nothing changed about the price or description about your Shopify product. You must denote this yourself - by adding "+ digital album" to your product description.
Note: Are you not seeing these buttons? It's likely because you haven't approved billing from Single. You cannot publish your release until you do so. Check out our dedicated support article to learn more.
